We first inspect your machine for any external issues like broken knobs, scratched needle plate etc.
Then we clear all lint, thread and debris from your machine. This is critical as all that mess in your machine can lock it up and damage it.
Next we clean and oil the joints to keep the machine running smoothly. We use the same high-quality machine oil and cleansers on your machine that we use on our own.
Once your machine is purring like a kitten we give you a fresh needle. Your machine will be ready to tackle your next project with ease.
Our Service Menu
Basic Cleanings include: clearing out of any loose threads, lint, rogue sequins or puppet fur; replacing old grease and oiling joints; and checking the machine’s timing. This will be diagnostic only, no repairs.
Machines that have not been serviced regularly and require a deep cleaning will require our Deep Cleaning Service.
Did you score a vintage machine at a yard sale? Inherit a family machine? Did you just finish sewing a giant lime green fur mascot costume? There are a variety of reasons your machine might require a Deep Clean. We won’t shame you for having a dirty machine. We will give your machine a rejuvenating spa treatment to clear out old hardened grease, remove all the clumps of lint packed into your bobbin area and unwind all the threads stuck in the tension. If something comes up that requires repair, we will assess the issue and call to advise you on the repair. If the repair is beyond our scope we will recommend a local technician to fix it.
